Rhys Jones Community Centre CIC
Raising aspirations, hope and community unity in the Croxteth Park and wider Croxteth area of Liverpool.
The Community Centre is committed to bringing about change through education, raising aspirations, raising hope and bringing about community unity.
It’s about changing the lives of young people in the community by adding a positive and fun place to attend. While work with young people is important the Centre isn’t solely focused on this age group. There are plans in place for activities involving every age group without discrimination but with an open heart and helpful hand.
Rhys Jones Community Centre CIC is committed to engaging the community to bring about a long lasting change and make the Croxteth area and Rhys` name a positive legacy for the future.
We want to leave a legacy in the area for Rhys and his family – Melanie, Stephen and Owen – that has a positive energy and a shining beacon that comes out from a tragic and negative situation that you would wish no family to ever have to go through.
The Community Centre team have a vision of the Centre becoming a Community Hub, bringing all areas of the community together, working in partnership with other organisations to support the wellbeing of all its local residents, from babies, children the young, teens, adults to our wonderful elderly.
We have a vision that what the Community Centre will be fun, educational, life enhancing and we hope inspirational and aspirational as well.
Our Centre is Rhys` legacy. It is our privilege and honour to deliver projects, programmes and activities that will support Croxteth and the wider community to grow, develop, be resilient, and have a community spirit of positivity and support for young and old alike.
Rhys Jones’ name means something and he will never be forgotten. It is our pledge to his parents and brother to make sure that our Community Centre is a lasting legacy. Rhys’ life meant something and our Community Centre will mean his name is never forgotten.
We warmly invite you to join us!
