What is Croxteth Healthy Minds?
Croxteth Healthy Minds offers informal workshops and a listening service so young people can understand and improve their mental health. The service is aimed at 10-18year olds from the Croxteth area and is based here at the Rhys Jones Community Centre.
The Listening Service
The Listening Service is your opportunity to talk about anything that you are concerned about. In your 1-2-1, we will listen to you whilst being understanding, supportive, and maintaining confidentiality in line with the requirements of the law.
The listening service is not a counselling service – it is much more relaxed! However, if you would like to seek professional help, we can support you in doing so.
How can we help you?
In our Croxteth Healthy Minds workshops or 1-2-1 listening service we can:
- Listen to your thoughts without judging
- Help you talk about your experiences
- Track your progress with outcome measures
- Think about next steps and support you in taking them
What can you talk about?
You can talk about anything that is bothering you! It can be:
- School and exam stress
- Depression and anxiety
- Bullying and isolation
- Friends and family
- and so much more!
